Weaving and textile designs and technique fascinate me.
The idea of using only what was available at the time and location never seems to slow the variety and exploration of the natural world.
Horse Tack
The bond between people and horses is ageless. The design and making of vintage reins, headstalls and halters was always unique to the maker, his skill and the horse in his minds eye. The ritual of “tacking up a horse” cleaning the tack, the smell of the leather and the feel of a much loved and worn piece of tack is challenging to explain in words. Much like riding itself and surfing.
